Balancing the Pelvis Class

Dynamic Integrative Therapies - Balancing the Pelvis

In this fun and interactive class, Tina will share her insights about the basics of the pelvis.

In this class, you will learn how to free up restrictions in the pelvis. This is integral to good health. The pelvis is the foundation of the spine. Restrictions in the pelvis change the way the spine moves. A free pelvis can help your gut and reproductive health, and so much more.

Look at the anatomy of the pelvis & how it relates to the rest of the body. Learn techniques from many modalities of bodywork, like CranioSacral Therapy. Visceral Manipulation, and others. Check in with your body as you receive these techniques, and see how your body changes after each one.

Why is this important?

  • Embryologically, the diaphragm is a very important player in the whole body, and wields a lot of authority over all other structures.
  • It is an important fluid pressure modulator between body cavities.
  • It is important in breathing.
  • It is important in Autonomic Nervous System balance.
  • The diaphragm affects the health of the pelvis, the abdomen, the thorax, and even the cranium.
  • Anything that touches the diaphragm can cause shoulder pain.
  • The diaphragm has a huge role in “good posture.”

Join this class to learn techniques to help your clients to have better overall health by working on the diaphragm. You will also enjoy learning many ways to treat rib cage dysfunction, and you might be surprised how many problems you can fix for your clients that you didn’t even realize were related to ribs.

In this 2-day workshop, we will delve into principles extracted from systems like Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral, and Neural Manipulation, to learn how to effectively work with the body’s innate rhythms to help health to express more fully. We will learn the importance of presence in our work, and how to dialogue well with the tissues of the human being under our hands, to increase fluid flow and balance, and to balance the autonomic nervous system, thereby helping our clients to have better overall health and a feeling of wellbeing. Please call, text, or email me personally if you have questions about this class.

We will look in depth at what can be done to free up the neck for decreased pain and increased ROM. We will use principles from advanced forms of bodywork, like Craniosacral Therapy and others, to improve your results in the treatment room. This class is perfect for anyone working on people with neck injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and chronic neck pain. It is best to take this class after taking the Diaphragm and Rib Cage class, but even if you haven’t had that class, you will benefit from taking this class. Please call, text or email me personally with any questions about this workshop.

(Some craniosacral or visceral training is required to attend this class.)
