How to adapt touch, pacing, and your approach to individual needs
How to recognize your own stress responses and practice self-regulation

Class Description

Lotus Foundation is a beginning exploration of the practice of Thai Yoga Massage. This class focuses on combining yoga stretching poses and breath work with slow, intentional pressure techniques to promote relaxation and physical well-being of both therapists and their clients. Participants will also gain insight into the historical and cultural origins of Thai Yoga Massage, enriching their understanding of this ancient practice. Ideal for both new therapists and those seeking continuing education, this class provides practical skills that can be applied into your table work as well as on the floor mat. Upon completion you will have an approximately hour-long session routine and 8 hours of hands-on Continuing Education credit. Attending both this class and its companion, Orchid Foundation, will give you the skills to offer up to two-hour long sessions to your clients.

In 2026, she completed a rigorous four-year training program in Structural Integration through the Institute of Structural Medicine. As the founder of Spokane Structural Medicine, Becky specializes in deep, targeted therapeutic interventions designed for long-lasting structural change. Passionate about movement, fascial mechanics, and balancing body tensegrity, she brings a high standard of technical precision and anatomical depth to both her clinical practice and the classroom.

Spencer's Instructor Bio

Spencer Belsivk is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Structural Medicine Specialist in Bellingham Washington with a focus in injury recovery and structural integration. His practice is informed by his years teaching snowsports, and studies in nutrition, physics, and natural philosophy. His passion and interest for health and wellness came from his mother’s lifelong battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Together with his wife, who is studying Naturopathic Medicine, he plans to open a wellness clinic in Bellingham and a farm to table wellness retreat in the North Cascades.

Grounded in the principles of tensegrity, this hands-on class introduces techniques to assess postural patterns, evaluate gait, and analyze muscle tone to differentiate fascial structures and test range of motion. You will explore strategies for balancing the body across the sagittal, coronal, and transverse planes, restoring muscles to their optimal shape and function while integrating neuromuscular reeducation and addressing psychosomatic symptoms to support long-term structural alignment. Open to Therapists of all skill levels.
