Massage Therapy for the Chiropractic Patient

In this course, we will establish what both treatments of chiropractic and massage are, their specific roles in the body, and why they pair so well with each other.

Class Description

Whether you are interested in learning more information about chiropractic or how to help patients as their therapist in a chiropractic setting, we will cover everything from science-based facts, surveys, anatomy, case studies, and common pathologies in the chiropractic setting. This class includes two workshops: self-care spinal examples and hands-on work to accommodate chiropractic either pre or post manipulation.

Instructor Bio

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist 16 years with most of my experience working in chiropractic offices. I am a third-generation healthcare worker: my grandpa was a chiropractor and both my parents are retired chiropractors.

In 2018, I graduated WSU from the great Edward R. Murrow program in Communications. I teach at Sage Academy of Massage and Bodyworks for the incoming massage students as well as licensed therapists for their upcoming continuing education hours. My massage approach is mostly focused on therapeutic touch and muscle/injury rehabilitation. I love starting conversations about knowledge and skill base to both the culture of incoming massage therapists and LMTs alike to help grow the massage community in Washington State! My future goal is to expand Peaceful Revival nationally and become an NCBTMB provider.

In my spare time, I enjoy learning Spanish, bowhunting for carp, and adventuring outside with my husband and our 3-year-old son!

Somatic Massage CE Training for LMTs

This 12-hour, hands-on CE workshop equips massage therapists with foundational skills to integrate somatic awareness and nervous system regulation into their practice.

Class Description

Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and guided practice, participants will explore how trauma-informed, body-centered techniques can enhance therapeutic outcomes and client trust.

You’ll Learn How To:

Understand the role of the nervous system in bodywork
Apply somatic awareness principles in massage sessions
Assess client stress and tension patterns through observation and touch
Facilitate client awareness of bodily sensations
Support regulation through breathwork and gentle, intentional touch
Recognize the impact of trauma on the nervous system and respond safely
Practice your own self-regulation techniques as a provider
Create personalized treatment plans for somatic support
Integrate these techniques ethically and effectively into massage therapy

Contraindications and ethical considerations for somatic regulation therapy
The importance of practitioner self-regulation and co-regulation with clients
Tools for building a trauma-informed massage practice
This workshop is open to licensed massage therapists seeking to deepen their understanding of the mind-body connection and expand their skills in trauma-informed, client-centered care.

Foundations of Thai Yoga Massage 2 is designed for those seeking to deepen their understanding of traditional Thai Yoga Massage techniques. This continuation course builds on the knowledge presented in Foundations 1, focusing on more intricate movements and holistic healing practices to enhance practitioner skills.

Participants will explore additional poses and refine their ability to provide therapeutic and restorative care. The class incorporates hands-on practice and theoretical insights, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Ideal for professionals and dedicated learners, this event offers an opportunity to elevate your expertise in this traditional healing art. Upon completion, you will have 8 hours of continuing education credit. Combined with Foundations 1, participants will have enough knowledge to give up to two hour long massage sessions.

*Foundations 1 and 2 may be taken in any order.
