Massage Transfer Student Program

Option 1:

You’re a massage therapist who has already gone to school and are transferring from another state into Washington.

  1. The requirements to have completed a massage program that meets or exceeds the 500 hrs. required by the state, including the additional 60 hrs. required by TCSM. If additional hours are required, the massage therapist may be eligible to enter the professional massage therapist transfer program to complete required hours.
    *fees will be discussed upon approval.
  2. The massage therapist must complete a hands-on massage exam with TCSM to determine that they have the initial skills, ethics, and knowledge to begin the process of transferring into the school.

Option 2: Some exceptions may apply.

You’re a massage therapist who has already gone to school and are transferring from another state into Washington.

  1. Students can directly transfer credits from a University, Massage School, Rolfing (structural integration), Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic, or other health related program that matches the class requirements of TCSM. These credits will be reviewed and approved by the director using a class description list provided by the University or other educational institution.
  2. Transferable class credits for TCSM include: Anatomy and physiology & Pathology.
